13 January was a nice day, and hopefully the beginning of great weather for the rest of my time here. The weather of Barcelona has been pretty cool, colder then normal. With temperatures under 10 celsius and rain, no fun – until today. Perfect blue skies and beautiful weather couldn’t be better. Our class lead us to the Port Olympic area of Barcelona, checking out the architecture and spaces of the area.
The short tour of the quiet port area lead us to Gaudi’s finest, la Sagrada Familia. The massive church seemed close, even blocks away, and was quite amazing. Even with half the church in shadow, it was cool. I took over 300 pictures (don’t worry about it, I only posted a few of the better ones) which you should check out. More pictures of the building are to come, once better weather, lighting, and the opportunity to tour the inside arises.
